I relocated my alternator also due to a fuel rail clearance issue.. For that I cut off the alternator bracket from the ps/hdro bracket and then fabed a new alt bracket..
I stayed with the truck brackets. All I had to do was to trim the alternator bracket to allow clearance for the TPS cable/connector. I am using FAST fuel rails and it looks good for clearance by the alternator. I wont be using a return line, at the engine, so I will come up the left side of the engine ( stock location for the fuel lines on a 55) and use the Corvette filter for the return.

They are already posted. Search this section ( truck performance) using ,ls6 intake swap, the engine is a 6.0. Waiting for the water pump spacers to wrap this up.

I purchased a new LS1 pump after I decided to go with the spacers and the LS1 pump. The engine is brand new (0 miles factory replacement engine) and I wanted to stay with as many new parts as I could. Not sure how easy it will be to work on this beast after it is assembled.New doesnt always mean better, but it does give me some piece of mind.
