Well, that shift kit sounds pretty sweet, but pretty expensive too...anyways, not to hijack the thread, I'll be on my way

looking at the log file i think my drive by wire saved the motor from reving higher. i see where the throttle closed and the rpms came down to 6900 then it started to open again before i let off. i dont think i have a fuel cut anymore and i dont know if i want one either.

The input shaft was my first guess also. If that is what happened, you'll be up and running in no time. I broke the input shaft on my level 5 4L65E and chuck sent me a chryoed one, so far so good.

4L60E to a 4L80E and then to a 4L100E. Sounds llike a logical progression, each one 20 better than the one before.

whats the 4L100e?

Chryo treating is where they take a peice of metal and supper cool it, then super heat it at a fast rate. After doing this a few times it makes the metal alot harder.

All i know about is max torque timing, low oct., and high oct. It was logging just over 40*, and i pulled 5* and now its logging 37-38*. I gained alot of power when i was able to pull that timing, i wonder how much more i am loosing due to my timing being to high.

There's an IAT Add and IAT Multiplier on the advance tab

Actually, you don't super heat it. If you do that, the part will break. It is brought back to "room temp" very slowly. That's what I was told by Chuck at FLP.

Agreed. Super cooled, usually for a full day or two, then slowly brought back up to temp. Supposedly, it re-orientates the molecules of the metal in a better organized pattern. This results in a stronger, harderl, more dense metal.

You'd be surprised how many products could benefit from this treatment. It is very common for firearm competition as they treat the barrells to improve strength, wear, and accuracy. Fine machinery also benefits. As Chuck has told me, many parts inside a trans can benefit.
