i certainly give cm motorsports some credit. their 408 held 7500rpm with some boost in the cylinder. for an engine with a 4" stroke that's pretty damn awsome.

I'd hold out for GM's new 6L80e......hehehe.

So is this the first blown "built" 80e we've had. Not to many 80e's bit the dust, let alone a built one. Interesting, everything has its limits, and I think we just found the 80e's.

G80 is probably coated in JB weld, makes it bomb proof

i think chuck uses the tranzgo kit but it has lots of other parts in it too. i remember chuck mentioning one part that cost $600, can't remember what it was.

chuck sent me an email and is sending a box out. he said he kinda wanted to see what it was looking like in there anyways. from my past experience with chuck he will find the problem and come up with a solution to whatever broke, some way to make it stronger or apply less of an impact on it. all i know is i want pic's of whatever it was. probably some little clip or something silly.

here is a screen shot of the log.

just talked to chuck. he is thinking input shaft may have let go.

he says he cryo treats all his input shafts now but he didn't do mine since it was the first one he did. he is going to try a new shaft and cryo it and if that doesn't hold then he is going to have a stronger one made.

looking at the log file i think my drive by wire saved the motor from reving higher. i see where the throttle closed and the rpms came down to 6900 then it started to open again before i let off. i dont think i have a fuel cut anymore and i dont know if i want one either.
