I think that my first choice would probably be the 3rd option. I think option 2 is slightly too big for a DD, and option 1 is too big for the small amount of lift it has. The 4th option looks great too, but I think that these engines like a slight split to take advantake of the larger intake valves in comparison to a 5.3 head.
With #3 it looks like you may also be able to use LS6 springs as well, but that depends on the ramp rates of the cam. I would find a set of 243's to go along with this cam, and if you can use the springs you'll be in great shape for short money.
Thats enough duration on a tight enough LSA to have some lope to it too, but not enough to really kill drivability. It should sound real clean.

Is the engine in the truck yet? If not I would look into AI 243/317 heads and one of their cams to go with it. Their heads show crazy power gains, especially over untouched 317's. Their cam packages also seem pretty reasonable too. The combination of the 2 would be worth over 100 HP on an otherwise untouched LQ4. If you have no plans of boost you could go with something smaller than the stock 243 chamber to bring compression up around 11.0:1.
Combine that with all the right bolt on mods and you're lookin at close to 500 HP at the crank... not too shabby.
