Default I have no torque.....

Hey guys i just got my nelson tune and i went and did some runs with my g-tech and wow i have no low end torque.... Here are my times...

15.61 at 95.1mph...
15.74 at 94.4mph...

My 0 - 30 is horrible... but 30 - 100 is unbelivable!
I have a stock torque converter, stock 3.42:1 gears
Which one should i change to get the best torque? Torque Converter?
This is the car in my sig.

You need a converter and gears... 4.8's are notorious for having no ***...

x2. maybe get some 4.10s and a truetrac and see how that feels, and if your still not satisfied then get a 2800-3200 stall... or the other way around

what was your 60'?

Ok sounds good, should i get some 3.73 or 4.10's? also a stall converter instead of a torque converter? And for beastmode my 0-60 is 7.9 and the g-tech doesnt read 60 foot measurments. Thanks guys i wanna get this truck in the 14's i know it has the potential.

A torque converter is sometimes mistakenly called a stall converter....lol, I agree with the above, get rid of those tall gears. I'd say 4.10 unless you plan on going turbo? 14's will be easy with the right mods,

Ok ill go with some 4.10's any good brands that i should take advantage of? If no i was going to go with detroit locker. And the next major upgrade thats coming will be a ls1 or ls6 small block whick ever is cheaper really. I dont plan on getting a turbo or supercharger anytime soon.

y not keep ur 4.8? just need the right mods. I talked to someone else with a turbo and said dont do the Z06 cam unless I do a turbo. Get a bigger cam if u have the money/time, instead of an engine, unless thats what u really want

o, sorry didnt realize that wasnt at the track... doh lol

well seeing as you have the LS6 heads already id buy a LS1 short block, no point in spending more than you already have when you can just put your heads on there. id say def go with the 4.10s, when i do my 4.10s im gonna either go with Yukons or Motives.

Well yea but the ls6 block isnt for awhile it would just be the finishing touch. I just purchased some 1.85 compcam rockers complete for $180 off here. That will up my lift to .600/.595 i really want to keep my ZO6 Cam because im doing all this my self and everything i have on my car i got for dirt cheap...
Z06 Cam $85(ls1tech)
243 Heads $150(from a friend)
All comp cam internals $free(Girlfriends brother gave it all to me from his 01 camaro)
Hollow stem valves $50(ebay!!)

I just cant spend tons of money on my car like some people. But i still like hearing everyone opinons and ideas so so keep them coming!! If i were to get a bigger cam what would cam would you guys suggest me getting with what mods i have now?
