Not trying to hijack, but xdanny510x how are you running the long tube pacesetters here in CA? I want to go with similar ones, but smog issues are stopping me. Any long tube headers for that matter.

PM me with info. if you don't want it on this thread. Thanks.

it could be the heat shield on the motor mount. i had to bend the heat shield away from the header to clear. i dont remember if it was the driver side or passenger side, though.

Mine had a vibration/rattle sound only when in reverse. It was coming from the tranny crossmember. We ended up jamming a set of needle nostril pliers (spacer) between the exhaust pipe and the crossmember and then welding up the joint. Problem solved.

After I put on Dual Exhaust, everytime i hit a good bump (every five feet in saskatchewan), i would get a knock sound. Went under the truck and it was a bolt from one of the cab-mounts, so i trimmed it to the nut with a dremel.

I could tell it was the one because where it would hit the piped it would leave a mark!

Does a guy really need that heat shield? I was looking under there one day, and I wanted to cut it in half, unbolt it, and rip the POS out of there.

The reason I don't think I need it is because my stock muffler is gone and there is only two little bottles there now!
