look at the cast number on the right side of the head. Or in the glove box for eng code. L33- 5.3, Lq4-6.0 LQ9 6.0, Look at the trans and see if the bottom half of the bell housing unbolts. (4l80e) or if there is two pieces of plasic. (4l60e)

This being my first stall ever so it's hard for me to compare. It does flash up very fast, and I loose traction around 2500 rpm. But with the upgraded turbo I got for the 5.3, it spools so damn fast. I called art Carr to tell them I wasn't happy with the stall (it was actually the trans but I didn't know it yet) they where going to charge me 150 bucks (standard fee for restall) even thou I only had like ten miles on it. Not very happy with there support after hearing how well other companies go the distance to make you happy.

4L80e one of the strongest trans built by chevy todate. 6.0L is the engine most people want for a build up. 4.8 and 5.3 share same block. Almost everything will swap to all LSx blocks.

Which motor do you have the 5.3 or the 6.0? I'm guessing you have the gt-67 on the truck. How does it spool compared to the stock stall?

I installed the 6.0l after I drove the truck with the 4l80e and new stall about ten miles. (5.3 cracked two pistions) So It's hart to say for the 5.3 and the art carr stall. with the 5.3 and the stock trans, the truck would get almost completely through a intersection before the tires begain searching for tracktion, (and they didn't have to look as hard as they do now. lol) now with the 6.0 and the stall, its spinning before I get to the middle of a intersection. Any time I'd race some one with the 5.3 they would jump me by half a truck. the turbo not sure what size now was picked by Shade at STS. He said it was good for a little bit more than 500 hp at the wheels.
I was planing on running Nitrous to make up for the lag with the 5.3, now I need a bigger turbo.
