Default How much to raise compression to 10.5+

hey guys well going to be doing some work on my truck in the next week or two.. step one rebuild tranny.. step two raise compression.. i have a l33 engine originally 9.9 compression.. it comes with the 799 heads 65 chambers. i heard u can only mill them 30 thousands i also heard every 6 thousands is 1cc.. that means 30 would put me at 60cc. what compression ration would that put me at? dont have the money for a 6.0 but i do have the money to mill the heads.. anyone pls chime in!

current cam 217/223 551/551 113lsa 4.10 gears

I think 243/799 heads have closer to 64cc, unless you worked on and/or measured them. I also heard the number is .007" for every -1cc(i'll just use .0065').

So if you milled off .0325", you would have ~59cc chambers. That would bring your c/r up to ~10.58:1 with stock head gaskets(.051" compressed).

yes stock head gaskets... and ill call richard tomorrow but i had seen on a previous thread that 30 thousands would bring up compression .75 of a point making it. 10.65.. but thats y im asking.. and yes i also heard they are around 64cc just saw some ppl that said 65 thats y i said that.. and yea that sound rt. so 10.58 should be a good feel in power? i dont mind milling my heads because when i go 6.0 i will need to get them milled so they will already b ready..
