How much power does cam and longtube headers give?

In my previous 04 5.3 crew cab, I gained from a mild cam--216/220 and LT's with modded stock y-pipe and stock cats about 40 HP. It was 34 HP to be exact, and this was dyno'd on a tune that wasn't right for the cam. This was also going from full bolt-ons minus the cam and headers--to the cam and header install. With a proper tune, I think it would have been closer to 40-45 HP.

dozerdan made 227 hp with shortys and a tune..he put on mac midlengths and comp 212 218 cam and went to 297 hp...on a mustang dyno
