Default How much differential fluid?

I am in the process of changing my diff fluid. How much fluid does it take? I bought 4 quarts just in case. Thanks in advance.

I only used about 2.2 quarts. Fill it till fluid comes out the fill hole.

Thanks Ben... After taking fill plug out I stuck my pinky and found out the level of fluid was about 1/4" just below. I just filled to that level and it took about 2 1/4 quarts. I never thought of using my pinky as a dip stick.... I just went with Penzoil 75/90 non synthetic and just 2 ounces of Ford friction additive. I was hoping this would help my traction problems, but I felt little difference. What I did notice is my truck does not slide to one side as much as it used to. Here are some pictures of my burnouts.
