Default How many tenths did the Nelson tune help?

I was wondering what kind of gains you got from the Nelson tune in the 1/4? I was just seeing what i should see on mine comparing with your engine and modifications.

That is impressive! Any idea what i should see. 2001 4.8 ex.cab with FIPK 77 series, 160 thermo, descreened MAF and a flowmaster exhaust. My best is 16.49 but consistently i run around a 16.6

Id have to say with your mods and some weight reducution(no rear seat, tailgate, spare, bumper) and with the nelson tune.. you could get a 16 flat or so... that seems kinda slow to me.. but maybe its bc the 4.8 is tuggin around all that weight of a ex cab.

I have a roll pan which took some weight off but i'm not gonna take my seat out or anything like that. My friends HEMI ran a 16.0 and its a quad cab. So i think my truck is doing alright. Maybe different elevations and stuff like that come into factor. A bunch of chevy trucks around here run like mid 15's to like 17's. I'll get there one of these days. The track kinda sucks too because it is slick and i spin my back right tire too easy. I need to invest in some traction control.

you have no other tuneing like hypertech, superchips, predator? If not then look for at least 5/10 in the 1/4. I had a 4.8 ecsb that ran 14.9 with all factory parts on it with Heavy *** 18" rims and tires with all bolt-ons and a nelson tune.
