if i put a z06 cam in a 2003 avalanche z71 5.3l engine with 4.10 gears you telling me it will idle like stock and i idle 600-700 rpms now?

 

there is no way to beat a lightning without a power adder or going into the motor. try a $500 nitrous kit and $300 slicks. thats under $2000 and will get you into the 13's easy.

 

Ive got an all motor ext cab and have some awsome vidio of lightning kills. Ive done alot more work since my last time post, and its running over half a second faster now, but Im not going to post my new times till I hit 13s. Right now Im installing my 3000 stall. That should put me well into the 13s. Dont let me fool you though, Off the line I am blowing the lightnings away but they soon catch up and some pass me, but by then its just to late.

 

but snake eater remember you have 40 more foot lbs than a 4.8 will have stock. 4.8's have no bottom end at all.

 

ok if i can find me a 6.0 for a grand.....can i find one for that price???? then put me just a regular 2400rpm stall, shift kit and corvette servo, cam, valve springs port and polish, and ill squeeze out a super chip reprogrammer wut will i be making hp wise...also im gonna run a 1 or 2 chamber flow.......also wuts a cut out????

 

As someone stated earlier, you can spend $2k in mods, but you better be ready to rebuild that tranny. The 4L60E is fine in stock form, but start putting any power to it and she'll blow like a $2 hooker.

Also do all the free HP mods to get you going, it wont get you in the 13's but hey its free. And check out ebay, used parts may help you stay under budget.
