No kidding... If you have a 6 liter you'd be hard pressed to squeeze nine psi out of it.

I've got a Wideband and only use it when I'm working on PE fueling. I don't keep it in all the time. It's pretty much a "set it and forget it" parameter until you change the combo and have to verify it. The only guage I have is a boost gauge so I can see belt slippage if it comes back.

Finally got my triple pillar pod today(I was sent a double by mistake). That third pod sits up kind of high though. I also have the Phantom fuel pressure and boost gauges as well as a matching wideband A/F from Dynojet. Just finished spraying and installing the pod. Been driving around with the gauges duct-taped to my dash for 2 weeks!

Hey, how are those shorties working with the Radix? Shorties were recommended to me as well but you are the first person I have seen who has this combo. What size pulley are you running and what kind of boost are you getting from it? Has your truck been dyno'd?

Thanks

I guess the truth is that I have no idea how the shorties are working with the Radix. As far as I can tell they are working fine. They went on at almost exactly the same time so no way to compare them with anything. I DO know that the truck runs very strong... at least compared to what it used to be like.... so I'm very happy with the setup. Hard to believe a 323 can deliver that much power.

My Radix came with a 3.4 pulley and I put a 3.25 on. I don't as yet have a boost guage but Allen said it would run just under 8. The closest dyno would be about an hours drive and I haven't been there yet but I really need to schedule some time there.

Is the wideband A/F from Dynojet better than the Auto Meter? Where are they sold? Does it look similar to the Phantom? Does a Fuel pressure guage require plumbing into the gas line? Does the pillar guage system block any of your side vision while driving? Are you still using the truck tach or did you get an aftermarket tach?

Thanks, Jim

Let me know when you get some dyno numbers on your setup. Mine were 319Rwhp/349Rwtq. Still think something isn't quite right though. Just noticed that my fuel pressure gradually drops from 60 to 56 during a WOT run.

My WOT boost kicks in at 6psi and climbs to over 7.5 psi with the 3.4 pulley and stock exhaust.

Bought the Wideband Commander(WBC) from RWTD for $349(check the sponsors section on LS1TECH).
http://www.widebandcommander.com/
If you get the white face/black trim it looks eactly like the Phantoms. The narrow bands are useless. The widebands can be used for tuning. The WBC has inputs for tach and 2 other sensors. I connected my throttle position sensor and boost to it. With its computer interface, this allows you to datalog these parameters. It also has outputs to trigger other devices(e.g. alcohol injection).

After having the gauges taped to the dash for a while, I would say that is a much better location for them. Maybe I should have got a dash top pod. I don't think the pillar pod interferes with visibilty much but you do have to look away from the road to view the gauges and each one is at a different level and distance from you eyes. Looks cool though.

$529 for a guage makes my head a little light. That was the price at the link you gave. I"ll check around.

I will let you know when I dyno.

Here are a couple of pics of my gauge. Top one is the WBC gauge.

Did your Radix kit come with the 8.1 fuel pump or the in-line booster?
