Default How can I run a 6.2/6l80 with Drive by Cable

Im trying to tie up my loose ends for a project build and this is one of the obstacles. I want to run a 6.2 and 6l80e in my s10 build, can I run a 6.2/6l80 combo with drive by cable?

I havent seen one done yet. I think the 6 speed would make it pretty awesome.

Full bolt on and cam should be 400-425, maybe more, at the wheels all motor and make for a very tame street machine.

Just get a 08 denali harness and have it turned into a stand alone with a dbc setup.

So the computer needed to control the 6l80 will be able to control the dbc throttle body? I thought the computer was the whole issue people were having trying to use the 6l80 with other motors?

You have to use a 07+ ecm that uses the same OS as the tcm or you'll fry it.
As far as the ecm just make sure that you know what year ecm you want then take it to the dealer (has to be in the truck) then have them reprogram the ecm and the tcm at the same time. Atleast thats what i did for mine. As far as you having DBC, id get with one of the custom stand alone harness makers and see what they can do as far as making it a DBC. Worst case as to what i see you'll have to go DBW with your setup.
