Default How to beef up my 5.3

Well I think the motor finally blew after pushing 10# of boost with the ATI with the stock injectors. I'm getting it torn down this week to see.

If I have to rebuild, what are my options for a bulletproof engine. First on my list are a set of Racetronix 44 lb. injectors. Will forged pistons with the stock rods and crank be okay? Any piston recomendations???? Thanks.

You could get away with using stock crank and rods but change out the rod bolts. I have heard that is a weak link.

First of all how much money do you have to spend ?
there are many options with what you wanna do
I built a forged 6.0.l bored .30 over
the other things is how long can you have your truck down for things take time with most place .
The larger the Cubes the More Torque you going to make
Also have to consider how radical you would would want to go

It takes a lot of time to build a motor, trust me. You might just find out that it was an exhaust valve. You could fix this motor and back down the boost while you are building another motor. Building a good motor will take a lot of bank. I would buy a 6.0 and slap some pistons and rod bolts in it. The heads on a 6.0 are great already. Good luck.
