Default How to adjust transmission

I have a 2000 Silverado 5.3 4x4 and was wandering if there is any way to STOP the transmission from downshifting out of overdrive into 3rd gear?

ok why do you not want it to downshift??
and if you want this to be done edit will have to be used. a custom tune will also.

... or you could just leave it in 3rd. :p I am assuming this is while you are towing?? There are two ways to solve that.. Get more power so the truck dosnt think it is working as hard or change you trans parameters with tunning like Denali said.

The reason I was asking is because I am having a problem with the trans. continually downshifting out of overdrive with very little strain or acceleration. I have been trying to pin point my problem but can’t seam to figure it out.

4-3 mph shift point at 50% TPS and below should be raised to cure the problem.
