*EDIT* after checking their site, it seems that LPP stands for LaMonte Performance Parts
It's my opinion that 1 5/8 headers would be best suited for a mostly stock 5.3, although 1 5/8 primary headers are tough to come by, and if you plan future mods you'll probably want to upgrade to 1 3/4 headers anyway. Most of us are running 1 3/4 headers with our set ups and doing fine. I have 1 3/4 StainlessWorks on my extremely mild 5.3, and it really seems to help above 3500 rpms. I didn't lose anything down low, just didn't gain anything either.
