I wouldn't thiink it would work. Why are you thinking about using a 3 inch?

a 78mm tb is roughly 3.5" your maf isnt 4" its roughly 3.5". making the intinal 4" isnt going to matter if you have to neck down to 3.5". the main concern isthe size from maf to TB. so see if you can get 3.5 tubing if possible

no decided to go SD. so when i need to get inspected ill just toss on a stock maf setup for the few days that i need to set the PCM. figure this would be easiest and cheapest.

thats cool i found some 3.5" that was the reason of going with 3" initialy is thats all i could find in what i wanted to use
