couple of concerning things
#1
ok so lately the truck has been acting up..... the other morning i was running late for work and didn't have time to warm up the truck.... any way i back out the drive way and hit a patch of ice..... revs up high... say about 5000rpm and i look in my side mirror and notice BLACK SMOKE!!!!!! i let it warm up to normal and give her a good wot run and ran fine and no smoke.... something i should be freaking out about????? also yesterday it started missing badly at low rpm but normal at higher rpm.... finally kicked a light and i don't remember exactly what it said but in a nut shell it said that the drivers side 02 wasn't responding at all....... i checked the connection where the 02 plugs in..... are their any other connections i should look at? anyway the light did turn off by its self and the 02 is only a month old.... let me know what you guys think.....
Thanks

while in open loop it should default to being rich for safety sake, but it sounds like it was extremely rich... maybe an injector is hanging open and dumping fuel
maybe check the plugs on the side with the o2 code?

yea the o2 is making this thing crazy rich..... it hasn't done it again and seems to be running normal now..... the black smoke is still bothering me.... it was BLACK and smelt like burning oil BAD!!! again it hasn't happened since... is it something i should be really concerned with or just don't get on it while its cold again
