It's been for sale for a long time. I am in no real hurry as I doubt anyone else will buy it anytime soon. Another thing bothering me.

Do you own one, or have you ever run one of their engines for any amount of time?

A friend of mine here in San Diego bought one of Mast's 427 ci long blocks for his 65 nova pro touring, He has been running it for a few years now with zero issues, I know he has made a few 1/8 mile passes as well (7.65 @ 95mph iirc)They are a reputable buisness...Call Mast and ask about any type of waranty/guaranty with the motor..Good luck! If I was in the market, I would jump all over that! very complete motor

My thoughts exactly, lol. 2 one post guys now in this thread who just joined, which is also somewhat odd in general. But like I said I want opinions, especially from owners of engines put together by Mast.

I will probably void their warranty somehow by partially disassembling it to check it. Not interested in warranty...... General Motors has broken me of caring about it. I would never run any crate engine ever, without checking clearances myself. Quality is all I care, and good to hear about the 427.

Keep them coming!

Dropped by this morning to Southgate to see what they could tell me. The engine has the usual Mast advertisement on it with some details of the engine. It is a discontinuted model under the Black Label series, being the Black Label L92/L9H. I didn't write anything down because the partsmen was going to get me info from Mast and email it to me. It has the Callies forged crank and rods along with Mahle forged pistons that they advertise with all other crates. This one has VVT...... I don't think I really want to be bothered with that aspect of it, and will probably use my existing 2006 LS1B controller to run it ( I know I need the 58-24X box) but we will see. Maybe I will upgrade to the E38, I dunno. I want to still run a 4L80E behind this just like the LQ9. I guess if I could get the harness from an LY6/4L80E van that would work too and be plug and play.

Just means more tuning for me, lol.

Now just awaiting the specs.

Or you could snag a 6l80e to use with the e38...
