Hmmm... Gear selection troubles in PCM
Symptoms:
* Gear selector indicator shows R and 3. No other gears are shown, although the tranny selector grabs all the gears.
* Reverse lights are always on
Because of these two symptoms, I'm thinking the PCM might be limping, but since it switches gears correctly, could this be a problem at the gauge cluster? I ask because my oil pressure gauge is pegged anytime the key is not in the "stop" position.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, even guesses, since I am hopelessly lost at this point.
