i dont notice fumes and i drive with the windows open all the time. Now, when i drive my 70 nova i stink and my eyes burn like hell so i have that for comparison

Have had great luck with Magnaflow high flow spun metallic cats.

i had ARHs on my car for almost 10yrs with no complaints, and the only reason they're gutted now is because i turned the blower up & didn't want them to blow out or clog (as most cats will do north of 650hp)
