Default cats or no cats...

getting ready to redo my exhaust system. headers back and was wondering what the pros and cons are with losing my cats. i got some ceramic coated pacesetters waiting to go on but don’t know about keeping the cats. i plan on getting cut outs before some high flow cats then some areochambers or sdt mufflers with 2.5in all the way back. or should i just do a cat delete

Lose the cats. You will need to have your rear o2 sensors deleted. If your not tuned this is a good time to start thinking about it. The only con IMO to not running cats is smelling like gas all the time

I agree completely. Lose the cats, and as far as mufflers, gotta go with MAC Performance. They have the same traditional Flowmaster 40 Series sound, but with a little more bite. They sound really good if you're cammed, and better if they're dumped!

Check out this info (from the Stickys for this section):

http://my.prostreetonline.com/forums...php?t-1639.htm

What you want is exhaust velocity, not backpressure.
