Want to swap a 6.0 to a 99 Z71 with a 5.3
What year did the 6.0 become a direct bolt in. I have read on here that the first year or two had a longer crank that can only be used with the 4l80e trans. And the later ones have the same crank as the 5.3 but with a spacer. Is this correct?

 

01 and up will bolt up to your 4L60E if you use your 5.3 flexplate
