when i swapped my engine out i missed one of the three grounds at the back of the engine. I don't think it caused me any problems, but just go over and double check yours.

Also, get your y-pipe on and plug in your o2 sensors.

I'm pretty sure you have checked fuses? all of them! Being an 03 check that your TB connector pins are not damaged. make sure any of the harnesses were not squished when putting things back together and go over all your grounds, even the ones you didn't removed, you never know!

Also check for codes with a handheld scanner if you have one to see whats acting up.
Good luck and let us know.

Sorry for the late response it is indeed a DBW 03 throttle body, I am possitive that the MAF is plugged in.
I am going to check the pins, is di-electric grease recommended on any and all plugs?

The big fat braided ground strap near the back driverside of the engine i couldnt find the bolt for so i grounded it to the rear header bolt.

Thaks for the response, i was hopeing that i wasnt the only one who had an engine that didnt want to stop running.... just my luck.

For my info whats the fastest way to safetly make my engine stop running if i need to in the process of elimination in the event of emergency?

You don't need dialectric grease on all of the plugs, as most of them have a weatherproof rubber seal, but it won't hurt anything. As for trying to to get the truck to stop running, try turning the key off in D range, the extra load of being in gear may be enough to stall the engine.

Could also pull the ignition relay in the underhood fuse box, right?

If you need to turn your engine off on an emergency- the fuse box under your hood has the relay for the fuel pump, get some pliers ready since they are kinda hard to pull out with your fingers.

Also try to check for codes- this should guide you to whatever is acting up.

It could potentially be the PCM its a new mail order tune from ALLEN@NELSON but it will be the later of the items i remove from the check list.
I hope it aint a pinched wire someplace, but that would be my luck.
The truck is 60 miles away with a family and job i get out there like once a week,
it may be a while before i let yall know what i find.
