Default Help getting fan clutch off

Is the fan clutch nut a standard turn or is it backwards? Any pointers on how to get it off? Not have much luck with it. Thanks

+1 on the bi wrench and a BFH
I also put a pry bar in between the belt and pulley because I was going put a new belt on after.

I used a 18" adjustable wrench with a fist maul. A pipe wrench will even work in a pinch.

How are you keeping the pulley from turning? The belt is not holding it. Should I get a new belt and then try to break the fan loose?

the threads are standard threads. what i did was take the belt off, use a small pipe wrench leaned up against the front part of the motor so it wouldn't move then used a crescent wrench.

I finally got it off. Thanks for the tip on turning the way the fan turned. I used a pry bar to hold the pulley and had a buddy use a crescent wrench and a hammer. Couple of licks and it broke free.
