Default help with CAI..

I have read here that people can buy a kit from ebay to replace the intake tube only??? I want to keep my stock air box and only replace the intake tube... tried searching ebay but no luck, can somebody link me to one of those please....

I didn't get mine from ebay but I did get a replacement tube. Its from airraid. They call it the Modular Intake Tube or MIT. Think I got mine from like airaidsales.com or something like that.

I had an Airaid MIT on my 05 5.3 before the Radix and got some noise in the cab at times. If this is an issue stay with the stock tube. GM claims the nut sack not only quietens it down but increases take take off torque and mpg.

Yes. Although it looks awful funky, the factory one is probably the best tube to use for a basically stock application.
