Default What is stock fuel pressure?

I have seen a couple of different answers on this so I will ask for myself. What is the stock fuel pressure for an "02" 5.3l engine?
Will this pressure change when I go to 44lb injectors?
I want to get a fuel pressure gauge on order today for my pillar pod.
Thanks everyone.
Tim.

Probably going with this one since it will match my boost gauge.

I'm pretty sure it's 50 at idle and 58 an WOT. I'm also thinking that going to bigger injectors without upgrading the fuel pump will drop your pressure since you have the ability to bleed off more of the pressure with the higher flow rate.

FWIW, with the aux fuel pump that comes with the Radix, I am at 54 idle and 66 or so at WOT

Thanks for the info.
Did you go bigger injectors and fuel pump yet with your Radix?
Also what effect or noticeable gain did you get from your valve train upgrades?
thanks again.

Cool

I have the 44# injectors and the 255lph walbro and I see 49 psi if I back off and low 50s at idle. At WOT I see about 63 at 5 psi and 67 at 9 psi. The stock settings may be 50 at idle and 58 at WOT until you start seeing a little boost and then the WOT pressure will go up because of the vacuum operated fuel pressure regulator.

The '04 and newer trucks have a returnless fuel system and do not operate this way at WOT. They will reach a max pressure and stay there no matter what boost pressure you are running AFAIK. I think they max out at 62-63 psi but I am not exactly sure of that.

Stock fuel pressure on our trucks should be 58psi at 0 vacuum and 0 boost. Under vacuum at idle, the regulator lets off fuel pressure so its lower than 58 and under boost, it will raise it above 58.

i started giving mine the once over yesterday going over everything and when i check the fuel pressure it was dead on 61psi at idle, 1k steady, and whacking wot. i kinda figured it would jump up a little when whacking wot, but the needle just buzzed a little.

The Radix comes with bigger injectors and aux fuel pump, so yes I got them.

I bought the valvetrain stuff early this week, but don't have it yet. It will probably be a couple weeks before I have it all put together and running.
