So i haven't post in a wile, I need a little help and pointers because I'm going to install a cam and some other goodies . The cam is comp cams 224/230 duration, .581/.588 114lsa also a ls6 intake manifold, doing some head work, for the heads i was thinking milled them .40 port an polish and putting some bigger valves, i have some bad ls1 head and i was thinking putting those valve on my stock heads. Also springs and harder pushrods . the truck is a 2003 ext cab 2wd 5.3 litter engine only modifications are electric fans, 4.10 posi, shorty headers, kn intake, 2,500verter, shift kit, super servos, hypertech(I know it sucks) fastest i wenth in the 1/8 was 9.5 @ 74mph with a bad alternator. A friend of mine is gonna be doing the installation his a mechanic. I'm need some input in what other stuff will i need to make it a smooth and fast has possible installation, thanks in a advance!

Id say ditch the LS6 intake idea and get a TBSS intake.

Also make sure you check piston to valve clearance since your milling the heads so much.
