Default Header flange part number

I mentioned about the exhaust flanges for ls1's for fabbing up headers, here is the part number - I got MANY private messages about this....

12480130 Header Flange, LS1 or LS6
These steel header flanges are a great way to start a fabricated set of Gen 3 headers for a race car or street rod. This flange is for stock exhaust port location.

GMpartsdirect.com wants 14.49 for one.....so anyone intersted in making your own headers, here ya go!! I know I will probably try this route. Fabrication is fun, and they will be cheaper than buying a set...plus saying I made them makes me feel all the better!!!

Thats cool grippy, thanks for the site. I have been pissing around in the shop here at school (Wyotech) and with my TIG welding skills where they are now, I'm about ready to attempt just a shorty set for a friends car, just for practice. HE doesnt really care that they look extremely beautiful, but I think I should be able to pull it off pretty well. Fabricating something rather than buying something is so much more satisfying when you see results come out of it!!
