Not to mention ... the studs are kinda dummy proof. You just drop the head in place and it's there. There are different torque specs for the studs though. I went by what's on ls1howto rather than the instructions.

th ebiggest thing with either the studs or bolts is make sure the holes are cleaned out.

definatly...as soon as i pulled the stock heads i started blowing out the bolt holes and putting paper towels in them....gotta grind down a bolt and clean the threads and i'll go from there. you don't have a pic of your studs with the heads off do ya? thanks for the info Flyer, you gonna make it to the SBSO?

No pictures ..

Unfortunantly I can't. I am going down to San Antonio the weekend after the shootout. I am going to have to stay for about 3 nights as well. I can't afford the 6 hour drive down there and to stay a night and urn around and do it again.

As much as I want to make it .... I just can't.

Those studs are a bit high for what they are ... the 6 points are a bit cheaper and the same quality.

the 6pt is $17 cheaper, but teh 12pt offers a larger nut surface coverage area (not a big difference.) not sure how much bigger but every little bit helps. plus the hex head studs are on national back order but the 12pts thunder had a couple sets so i did that.
