I called Nick at Chapman Chevrolet and the times
they turned (13.42&13.90) were with 18" Drag Radials,and Headers. ****

 

Is the intercooled magnacharger any taller than the stock intake manifold?(I am referring to stock intake itself - without the black 'vortec' cover)

 

Magnacharger just arrived. By this time next week I will have it installed.I`ll post my impressions with before and after dyno result.

 

I saw one of the new Radix Magnas getting installed yeaterday on an Escalade EXT. It was also getting headers and a few other misc items. I sure would like to know how those new intercooled magnas feel. I'm sure its strong.

 

It is great looking setup,appears to be about 2" taller than stock but I haven't seen it installed. <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" /> I don't think it will be long now. The system is about 1 to 1 1/2 inches taller than stock intake. Did you get painted or polished? I don't have any dyno numbers yet (probably won't for awhile) If anyone has any questions on install of the system post here or send me a email. The directions have pictures but do leave out a few steps for the install. I just called tech support and talked to John or Keith. They both know what they are talking about as far as install. Also the intercooler and blower weight 82 plus pounds I suggest you have two people to set the unit in place it is a B to do by yourself I know I did. I haven't rocked it yet letting everything set in. But it does sound good even when you kick it a little. <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" />

 

My Magnacharger is painted ,I plan to use my cold air filter syetem and 160 degree thermostat.I have asm headers a custom wye pipe and a flowmaster catback exhaust with a 70 series muffler.I`m running 3.73 gears with a factory g80 limited slip and a yank 3000 convertor.I also have flex-a-lite dual electric fans so I will need to fabricate a bracket for my intercooler reservior and pump.I have a ASE certified machanic lined up next week so I can get the warranty available with the kit.

 

What did your Tahoe run before the Magnacharger? Nice to see you Memphians posting again! You two going to be at the track Thursday?
TNtrk53-I finally got a 4.10 gear, putting it in next week. Do you remember me? I raced that Dodge Dakota R/T. Hope to see you whipping up on them boys at the track again this year. You got a pretty good record out there!

 

Tahoe ran 15.23@89mph before magnacharger.If the weather cooperates I will be at test and tune tommorrow night.
