Default Hard shifting C3...

My dads 2001 GMC C3 has developed a shifting issue. It is shifting much harder on all the upshifts than it should be. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? We are just trying to get some ideas before we take it to the dealer.

Thanks

Harder than it should be lets put it that way. It needs a fluid/filter change. I guess that will happen today and we will see if that helps any. The truck has 52k miles on it. Stock fluid..
