Dont the Z71's already come stock with 3:73's? I know the 2wd 99-04's came standard with 3:42's and 3:73's as an option. I was in car sales and I always noticed all Z71's had 3:73 standard. But don't know if they were also an option. Check your list codes in the glove box in look for the "GT4" code that means you have 3:73's.

Not all of them. I've had 4 Z-71's some with 3.42's some with 3.73's My last one even had an open diff. WTF? I thought all of them had the g80. Oh well.

mine raps out at 35 mph/5grand before the 1/2 shift. i'm guessing it's 3.42's. it definitly has a locker though. lol. although i wish it had more low end, it still has enough to roast'em.
