The 02/03 LS6 cam is ideal for power right off idle (600 RPM's) all the way to redline.

Regardless, the 02/03 LS6 cam is what I am talking about, and the specs on this cam will give his 5.3L what he wants - more *****. Even the '01 would work...it is very similar to my cam.

werd. 4x4's are expensive on gears. I had a quote or $1200 for the front axle before I did them myself on my 98.I have a 2000 rcsb Z-71. It feld kinda weak stock, but with just a few mods, (see sig) it really woke it up from a stop. Especially after I replaced the two bad plug wires. And the other 6 too. My truck has a little over 100k miles, and it runs damn strong IMO for a 4x4. I think the LS1 fans or TB port/polish, stop mod helped the most. Besides replacing bad plug wires.
I'm ready to replace my muff and take it to the track again.

i was going to mention an 02-04 Z06/LS6 cam, but i was kinda thinking it was a high RPM cam. i had thought about just swapping the gears for 3.73s, but gears dont really fix the no low end torque problem but just cover it up. i'd like to keep my nice highway gears but still not have to downshift every time i want to feel it move. headers and tuning are probably what i'll do

the stock LS2 cam is identical to the 01 LS6 cam.
how do my stock 5.3 lobes compare to these?
