Default Gtech times on the EXT

I took the EXT out for a little spin today. I found a real nice long flat deserted road to use. I ran it 3 times. Only mods are: complete exhause, UPD intake, FLP transmission and Yank 2600.

1st run: no footbrake, just stomp the gas from a stop.
14.977 on a 2.19 60'

2nd run: stalled it to about 2000, then hit it.
14.789 on a 2.12 60'

3rd run: stalled to 2000, but tried manually shifting from 1st to 2nd. Hit the rev on 1-2 shift.
14.858 on a 2.16 60'

I was pretty pleased with this thing. It needs some tuning really bad. It runs fine, but the stock shift points suck. I think with more timing, better shift points, etc.. that it will be possible to run solid mid 14s with it. Too bad we'll never know. Big motor goes in on Monday, and it get tuned at the same time. I expect to see solid 13s on motor with it.

I'd have to say thats movin for just those mods.
That thing will be a beast with the built motor in it.
How much do the ext's weight?
Can't wait to see the finished product <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

I had the wheels put on today. They are a llittle big for my tastes (22"s), but they do look good. Its funny how many people next to me in traffic were looking at them.

The exhaust really helped this thing out. BTW - this is with full trim - 0 weight reduction. For the track, I'm sure we'll pull some thing out for weight savings. I think its supposed to be about 6000 pounds.

Those are pretty good times for that heavy pig, especially with the few bolt-ons it has. What mufflers did you guys put on? And how does it sound with no cats...is it annoying?

This is with the new version $250 Gtech.

It has two 6" round 3" center magnaflows. Sound is suprisingly tame. I was expecting it to drone, but it may drone less than my Borla with cats. It will turn heads when you start it up, but then tones down real quick. It sounds very good, throaty meaty like at low throttle / idle, then revs up well. I can't wait to hear the big motor and cam through that exhaust. I'll see about some video with sound.

It will be interesting to see how your truck will run with the HO 6.0

You are a lucky, lucky man.

Do you have the part numbers on those by any chance? Let's hear some sound clips...I am trying to get some ideas on my exhaust.
