Could be alot of different spots...where's the oil coming from, front or rear of the engine, rt or left side? Could be front or rear cover, front or rear crank seal, oil pan gasket, valve cover gaskets, oil pressure sender, oil filter, etc...

always start from the top.

oil flows down, not up. a common mistake is to see oil coming from somwhere like an oil pan and assume it is an oil pan gasket. the oil can be dripping from the intake, down the block and cling in the gap between the pan and block.

start up.

Gotta take extreme care when tightening the front and rear covers. And the oil pan. Front main seal can be problematic. Did you have the rear cover off?? That seal is a bitch and a half to get over the crank. Like mentioned before, see where its coming from. Buy a can of brake cleaner and start spraying places clean. Start peeking to see where its oozing from.

It is very very hard. You just have to use a feeler gauge and weasel it on. Do not oil it either!!!! Its best to get a helper honestly. Take your time, each of you just work the seal with feeler gauges and push it over the crank easily. Take your time, youll get it.
