Finally got the cam in
Comp 225/225 on a 112 LSA with .591" of lift
It's sounds awesome (will have clips soon). I haven't had chance to get a tune yet, so im having to 2 step it at stops. But one thing that kinda sucks is that I lost low end power. But also today i found out i have 3.23's haha. 4.10's will definantly be in SOON. Along with a stall later on.
Im hoping a good tune will wake it up.
edit: BTW i have a 99' 5.3

Quick question... Now, my truck has an exhaust and a modified intake. I know it's not tuned yet, but before whenever I raced my friends Dodge cummins, I would pull about 2 car lengths. I just raced him tonight and he just blew by me. Is that to be expected without a tune? I mean, I figured it would be almost the same atleast. We raced from 35 to about 70 and he beat me by about 4 car lengths.
Just wondering...

^^^ yep... That stock converter and tune is definetly part of the problem. Your powerband has shifted way up, so when you flash to 1800 RPM with the stock TC, there probably isn't a whole lot of power there.

Haha, yeah. But is it normal to be alot slower like that? And bog real bad on take off? I just want to make sure. Im gonna go ahead and change the spark plugs and see if maybe that may help.

I doubt the plugs will help. You moved your power band way past where the stock converter stalls. You need at least a 3000 stall to run that cam. The gears are not helping. Get tuned

a 3200 stall and 4.10's will make it different truck for sure.
