did 5.3 motors come with aluminum heads? i found a motor that is suppost to be a 5.3 but it has aluminum heads with a iron block. i thought only some 6.0 motors had aluminum heads but i don`t know much about these motors. any help would be great. thanks.

 

I beleive 2000 and up came with aluminum heads. Could be wrong maybe they all did.

 

My 99 5.3 has aluminum heads and an iron block. The 6.0 that year had iron block and heads.

 

thanks guys. i decided to pass on it since it was just the long block and i need the intake computer, ect. for a retro fit into my 70 chevy p/u.
