I used to use Royal Purple oil in my last car. Has anyone else used that in their truck?

I'm currently using Mobil Clean 5000, 5w30

i think the 5w-30 recommendation is mainly for emissions purposes, but Mobil 1 5w-30 is good. so are the Syntec's, Royal Purple's, Redline's, Amsoil's, etc... as long as it is a good quality "synthetic" your fine. me currently Syntec 10w-30/Wix oil filter.

nothing but amsoil in my truck. The chapioon store here sells it for 4.50 a quart. I had a 93 blazer that I used moble 1 in and it went for 210k miles and still ran when I traded it in on my truck. Ive also got a chrysler concord that has 110 which also services with amsoil.
I change it every 6000 miles and the filter every 3000.
I use wix filters.

anyone know what tranny fluid comes in a 2005 truck, and if you can use syn in it.

I use Mobil1 5w-30 in my 05 CC. I have only changed the oil once 1k. I am sitting at less then 5k now. I will change it out at 6k and then every 5k for the rest of the trucks life. I have a K5 blazer that after a motor swap 2 years ago I have only changed the oil once after the first 1k miles. (it has less then 10 k on it now) and the oil looks brand new.. Damn I love Mobil1... All that I have ever run.

Royal Purple, the cheap stuff ( 5.99 a quart) before my turbo. Now I run Royal Purple Race 21 (10.99 a quart) the oly reason I run it is because of the meth. I know the 21 won't be affected by the meth if some should find it's way to the oil pan.
Besides whats a 70+ dollar oil change anyway.
