Ok i tuned the truck with just the base program that the tuner puts in from the get go. I can tell a pretty good jump in power. I didnt reset of upgrade any of the diablo base settings. { upgrade settings} you have to run at least 91 with this tuner. there is no economy settings. you can upgrade your tuner through a program off your pc. you call diablo and they will build you a custom program. i dont feel the t.m like i did before. you can also see what your engine is doing.. it gives you read out on everything. { spark curve, timing, o2's , MAF readings, and etc... the base program is set to be dummy proof. it will only let you set the truck to 125 and 6000rpms. if you have electric fans then you have them set at a degree setting of your choice. this things works for any 99 and up gm product with a v8. so no more " I need one for a 99 or 2001 model" like i said we should have it on a dynojet tomorrow. but with the base program i could tell quite a difference. I do like that this programmer is totally upgradeable. I should have a program in next month to change the air fuel mixture and timing even more than the current 5 degrees and the speedo up to 140. it lets you calibrate for gear changes and so on. you can { it sems} control you line pressure on the tranny. I love this thing. Dyno should tell the story

 

how much does the custom program cost?

 

i think they are $150. The dealer is paying for mine so he can have them to download on future programmers.

 

I got conformation that mine was shipped today. I hope I get it for the weekend to play <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> I getting rid of my hypertech for this as we speak on ebay.

Is there any online information with pictures, features, etc. about this Diablo tuner? I am definitely interested in it for my 03 Sierra.

Hypertech isnt sure when an 03 model HPP3 will come out so I really need to do something to fix my 97-100mph? speed limiter.

Its amazing how much power I have at this speed! I dont have any mods (except for Hotchkis springs and edelbrock IAS monotube shocks) on my 5.3L (with the 3.73's) but it feels like it could easily top out at the speedometers 120mph. I should get a corsa exhaust soon and an air filter.

Anyway I cant wait to see some dyno results with this Diablo thing! If anyone has links, pics, info, etc. on this tuner I would appreciate it.
