Do I want to stay as close to stock (29.88") as possible and run the 305-45-18 (28.81") that the Lightning guys run, or do I wanna mess with my gearing a bit at the track and run 295-35-18 (26.13")?

Although I have a programmed pcm, Id rather not have to have more than one for when I go to the track, and it seems to me as a 26" tire would make my shift points, etc angry. Any truth to that? Whatever it is, it has to be better than runnin the 1320 on my 22s...even though I keep pullin 2.0s

there is one more option, not sure if they are out yet. check out the 16 or 17" sizes >>http://www.intercotire.com/html/radial_racing.htm
the 28" tall DR might do the trick.
as far as gearing i think shorter will help as long as you dont run out of 3rd gear. looking below at 6000rpm you are at 134mph, if you dont run faster than that then you are ok i would say, the shorter the better.

You still have a lot of room to grow with a 26" tires and 3.73 gears. I run 26" ET Streets at the track with no reprogramming for the smaller tires and it works just fine. So if you are only going to be running them at the track and are looking for ET, I would go with the 295/35. I plan on going with the 305/45 myself but they will be the everyday tire on mine.
