Do you have access to 6 bolt per cylinder L92 heads? And what CR are you shooting for? Will this be a pump gas engine?

for those of you that dont know... yes i work for GM... I work for their R&d center in southern california....

I design most of the one off parts, and concepts you see in auto shows...

I also design components for stock vehicles such as the engine cover for the denali, and the engine cover for the concept camaro.

so basically yes i do work in the theoretical Toys R us of GM...

I also worked on the recent Hot rod car where we swapped the LS7 into a solstice.

This is just a test to prove the durability of the LSx block and platform, and to prove the legolike structure of LSx components.

I just wish i fit in the test vehicle.

Like i said... If you have any suggestions... I have a pretty big budget.... and want to see what delivers.... you guys tell me and ill see what i can put together.

HERE IS THE TEST VEHICLE

sorry for crappy pic quality... just went and took pics right now... with my wonderful "POS" sprint camera phone

compression ratios will go from 8.5 to 12:1

im trying to see what i can get away with on pump gas.... forced induction, and squeeze will definitely be in the picture after i have exhausted every route of n/a

EDIT: I have access to whatever you want...

Or whateevr i need..... If i have to have it made, machined, or fabricated it is considered "in the budget"

GM wants us to have a LS powered colorado at a car show as soon as possible....

and they want a LSx test vehicle asap.... So basically I get whatever I want.... and get to beat the hell outta it...

I've been toying with making something that looks and sounds almost stock.

LSx block
4.250 bore, 4.00 stroke = 454 cu in
Ported L92s
L92 truck intake - Peope on tech say that this thing is actually a very good intake.
Target CR 11.0-11.5
With that much displacement it should allow for a decent size cam, yet still idle fairly smooth.

Thats Not A Bad Sounding Combination.... Depending On Cam Could Be Very Driveable Too...

If You Tune It With A Leane Cruise You Could Even Get Decent Mpg

Dang, big cubes, L92 heads, unlimited budget. Yes sir, that's my version of the American dream right there...

Make mine a 454 SS to revive the early 90's sport truck attempt that GM made. Fit a 230's duration cam at .625 lift with displacement on demand and lean cruise with a 6L80E.

Can you hook a brother up? My SS could be available if you want a truck show car... I'll walk to work for the next year if the truck has to stay in the shop that long... heck, I should probably be walking to work anyway since it's so close...
