Ok, I'm thinking that AFR has to be coming out with some heads between now and when I'm ready to build my engine and that was going to be my source for heads. Then I can use the Edelbrock spyder intake I currently have with the 4bbl square bore TB.
I know these L92 heads are supposed to flow pretty well unported and even better worked but Airflow Research has always had an exellent product and had my interest since I'll be N/A. If I were going FI the bang for the buck L92s would be perfect but I want all I can get out of this 500ci block naturally aspirated as I can get. And heads are a huge part of that. What are y'alls thoughts?
I am certain I won't be running any stock style or FAST intake, I want the spyder style or sheetmetal due to the lean issues with the 7th and 8th cylinders. I like the Wood Hauler's new set-up and would like to run that with a Speed Density tune. And the L92s won't mate with the Edelbrock piece I have unless something comes out from them soon.

dont know if you have seen this, byt GM Already makes one. You would have to drill it for injectors tho.

Does your 4BBL TB have a progressive linkage?

This idea is currently running through my head as well.
Does anybody know what forged internals are already "off the shelf" available?
I mean for bigger cubes not a 408. Say a 454 or 500ci? Rods gonna be 6.25?
With 450+ci, what can you rev that to? Seems like 6000+rpm would be a bit much for that much rotating mass. I want a TQ monster and I think a 454 would be about right.
I'm sure the FLT LV5 65E can handle it.
