If you're talking about putting loc-tite on the stud going into the aluminum head, I'd be more prone to putting anti-sieze on there to make sure that the studs can be removed if they ever have to be in the future. Studs backing out with the nut upon removal is no big deal, but a stud broken off in the head sucks

 

If those part #'s are correct, gmpartsdirect has the studs at $1.12 and the nuts at $0.86.

They sure are. qty of 5 for the studs and qty of 4 for the nuts. Comes to a total of $3.96 for 2 of everything w/o shipping and taxes.

 

I'm with budhayes3 on this one. I put anti-seize on the studs, putting a steel bolt in an aluminum head is already asking for galvanic corrosion (i think that's the term for it, where it corrodes because they are dissimilar metals). I want the studs to be able to come out instead of shearing off in the block.

Also, I believe that the P/N is for one stud or nut, but they come in packages of 4 and 5. Meaning you have to buy 3pkgs of studs for a total of 15 studs and 3pkgs of nuts for a total of 12 nuts. At least that way my experience at the dealer I bought the parts from, but maybe I just got jewed out of more money I have heard that gmpartsdirect has really slow shipping. I have been told to try out partszoneonline.com, they are supposed to be an actual dealer that just sells at really cheap prices. However, I have had no experience with either of them so please do whatever you want.
