Are these nuts reuseable?

Here is a quote from the previous thread about the GM studs and nuts.

But they are actually special nuts, triangular in shape with some kind of threadlocker on them.

hate to pop alot of bubbles , lol

but ever had a factory stock bolt break ? if yes , then welcome to a factory stud breaking , granted it will happen fewer times , but GM doesnt use the best grade , they buy from the lowest bidding company

but you will have the studs back out more often when trying to take the nut off , and it really pisses me off when that happens



also i think the ecotec motor uses the same thread studs as the bolts the LS motors use

the ends on the GM studs is a inverted torx , so you can screw them in or out , also allows the nut to thread on easier

Toyota and Lexus use inverted torx on their studs, but the studs in the pics that GMCtrk posted sure look like hex to me...

they do on 1 side , other side does look like a hex , lol

i know ive had to use my inverted torx bits alot on the eco's

they are all hex, no torx

they are 5mm or 5.5mm hex.

Suppose that a dab of Loctite 271 would keep those in?
