Default GEN III truck nationals

Just an idea, but have a big race probley in texas???? I'm sure most LS1tech sponsors would be interested. Would have to get through lots of redtape. But it could also work as a good tradeshow for the sponsors to show us tuning and supercharger etc. Maybe have a dyno horsepower competition on the same day.........What does everyone think?

I'm game but somebody would have to take the ball and run with it.An event like you are talking about takes a lot of planning and preperation.

I'm in chicago, and it would be great if I could have it at Route 66 dragway about 20mins from me but most the members are in texas. But if it was planned as one big event that everyone supported and wanted to put on a show yeah I would make the trip, but if its some half assed afternoon of racing I won't bother.

If I had any part in the organising I would want to make it as interesting for the spectator as the racer. I've seen the work of good racing permoters and some awfull ones too. You shouldn't have to have a truck only be interested in gen III powered trucks to be able to enjoy yourself. Maybe it would have to be on a larger scale of a GEN III vehicle event and have a truck class. Yeah but I think their are enough of us and fast trucks in texas that their could be a show.

I think that if we kept things simple 3 classes street tire no power adders, drag tire no power adder and supercharged/nitrous class;could find a local sponsor who would secure the use of the track;and a local club to organize the event, the event would be easy. Are there any local clubs that would be interested in hosting the race?
