Default Gauge install help.

Im going to be hooking up my Autometer rich/lean gauge tonight. I only have one so what wires do I tap into? I would like to use the switched hot off the radio if possible and Im going to tap the O2 signal by the computer. What wire is the O2 signal and which bank do I want to keep any eye on?

I have a scan tool so the gauge will just be for reference. I installed the Autometer where the factory trans temp gauge would be as per Parish8’s photo instructions.

Thanx.

Its the purple wire coming off either one of the front O2s. I tapped into it about 6" from the O2 for a more accurate signal than by tapping into it near the computer.

I was told that the purple was one bank and the purple with a wight strip was the othere.

Any ideas for a switched hot?

How do you have your 225 dry shot set up plumbed?

When I was trying to install my dynotune.org a/f guage+cutoff, I tried just about everything and it still read to high (rich) - by about .3 mV - I tried the purple w/white stripe, purple, right by the o2, by the computer...everything...and still read about 1.25V at WOT or even half throttle - which would be like a 8 a/f ratio or something. Predator says the pcm reads .920 which is where it should be. I traded the a/f for a fuel pressure guage.

Good luck.

Oh and I always just used the inside fuse box for the switched power...

For switched power i just used the one for the radio in the fuse box. I used the solid purple wire for signal to the A/F gauge. Had it over a year and no probs yet.
My dry shot is set up through the center of my K&N filter, and goes through the center of the intake tube. My MAF is relocated to the TB so it doesnt freeze. There is a pic posted of the MAF in a thread by Parish(dry shot). Sorry i dont know how to move it here. Been spraying the 225 a long time (about 10 bottles), and the truck still runs strong, even with the stock tranny. Ive made a few passes with the 225 and got alright ETs, but they were on street tires and spun ALOT.
