gas mileage 3.42 vs. 4.10
#24
running regular i drive 150 mi per day . I increased the shift speed and have it shifting at 5700 and 6000in tow/haul 1-2 and 2-3 5800 . i increased the shift presure by 20% in tow/haul mode , reduced the timing retard between shifts by 50% . still waiting to get the tb-converter and vette servo . I love the way the truck pulls second gear wow what a differince.
I haven't touched the engine part of the program yet except for raised rev limit .Any one know about the lean cruise mode ?

I went down the middle, I have a set of Precision 3:90 gears. I love them, it does not turn to many rpm's on highway, 70-75 = 2200 or so, that is with 275-60-17's. It made the truck so much more fun to drive than the stock 3:42s'. On a recent 400 mile trip I got 20 mpg on the highway running 70-80. I am very happy with this gear.

I went from 3.42's to 4.10's in my RCSB 01 Sierra 5.3 and actually picked up MPG. I havent set my spedo yet but from what I have see mine has picked up about 2 mpg just putting around the here and about the same pulling my dakota to the track.
