My ytruck brand new with only 6 miles on it, I left the dealership in Blanchard, OK and drove it straight home to Minneapolis, MN and driving 75 MPH on a tight new drivetrain, I got 24MPG with my truck. I got a reg cab short box 2wd truck with 3.73's and the 4.8 with 5-speed

I'm no soccer mom but I do like the 3.42's. I have always had 3.73's and took a chance on the 3.42's and do not miss the 3.73's with this motor. The 4.10's are OK for the stop light launcher types, and the folks whom tow kind of heavy for long and often.
I play up on I-75 and the motor runs real well in the occasional romp in town.
If the 3.73's were an available option I would have chosen them. I also make alot of 60 mile round trips going through the twisty, steep mountains and small towns and I believe the MPG would eat me alive with 4.10's.

I know you can't get 3.73's in the new trucks, but I think it is the ideal gearset with the 4L60E. If I were you I'd be tempted to get the 3.42's and a tight, higher stall converter for some off the line power. On the freeway it would lock and your good 3.42 mileage would take effect.
What speed do you drive on the freeway? If you can't go higher than 60-65 mph then the 4.10's would work (~2K rpms). But, if traffic goes 75-80 mph, you're gonna want the 3.42's IMO. Good luck with your decision.

... Running the 22 miles from Cartersville to the Kennesaw exit at a deliberate 75 to 80 with only 3k miles and fresh Mobil1 5w30 she averaged 19.1. I reset the average readout after I got on I-75 and up to 75mph. I tried very hard to hold it on 75 but traffic and lane changes caused me to go to 80 once and a while. This run is not all flat either.
I have 5k on her now and have not really paid any attetion to it latley.
